Metamorphosizing

After 17 years of a rewarding career run at my employer, I’m reaching for a long-time goal of opening my coaching business. I've dabbled for almost a year and the universe gave me a push to go that I couldn't ignore.

And I'm so thankful it did because it provided an opportunity for a true sabbatical and time for self-reflection. I found myself with an opportunity to REALLY practice the self-leadership techniques and constructive behaviors I’ve taught for the last few decades. Words are one thing and action is a whole other thing.

I picked up this espresso cup a few years ago because it spoke to me. It’s never been truer for me. Getting the business off the ground is soul-filling work. I’m growing every day and learning that my world didn’t end with that change. In fact, it’s been a lot like the caterpillar becoming a butterfly.  Starting the business has been like going into a cocoon, building the infrastructure and putting my whole self into nurturing my livelihood and health, quite possibly for the first time ever.

I’m excited to share that I’m close to breaking out of the business-building cocoon to test out my wings.
